The Roberts Collection

A collection of predominantly 19th century Japanese carved ivory netsuke and okimono inherited and subsequently curated by the late Devon collector RR Roberts over the past four decades.

The Roberts Collection consists primarily of Japanese carved ivory netsuke and okimono, which were mainly inherited but also curated by the late Devon collector RR Roberts. The collection also includes some Japanese carved wood and Indian ivory carvings.

These pieces of Asian art are predominantly drawn from the 19th century but there are late 18th century and early 20th century examples.

Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood are dispersing the collection across several sales, including the July 2013 Fine Art Auction.
